US singer Ciara is pregnant with her fifth child, her fourth with husband and former NFL star Russell Wilson.
The 40-year-old singer announced the news in a recent Instagram post, where she shared photos and videos of herself showing off her baby bump while sharing intimate moments with Wilson.
She captioned the post: “One more person to love”.
The announcement has since sparked congratulatory messages from colleagues and fans, who took to the comment section to celebrate the couple.
Ciara and Wilson began dating in early 2015 and announced their engagement in March 2016. They got married on July 6 in a lavish ceremony at Peckforton Castle in Cheshire East, England.
The couple already share three children: Sienna Princess, 9, Win Harrison, 6, and Amora Princess, 2.
Before her marriage to Wilson, Ciara welcomed a son, Future Zahir, with US rapper Future. Her latest pregnancy therefore marks her fifth child overall and fourth with Wilson.
Ciara rose to fame in the early 2000s with her debut album, Goodies. She later built a successful career through her energetic performances and distinctive blend of R&B, pop and hip-hop.
Beyond music, the singer has also ventured into acting, fashion and entrepreneurship, while earning several accolades, including Grammy Awards.
Wilson, meanwhile, enjoyed a 14-year career as a professional American football quarterback. He rose to prominence after being drafted by the Seattle Seahawks in 2012 and spent 10 seasons with the team.
He led the Seahawks to victory in Super Bowl XLVIII before later playing for the Denver Broncos and Pittsburgh Steelers.
