BBNaija’s Tochi Urges Ex-Housemates to Forget Celebrity Status and Hustle

Former Big Brother Naija housemate, Tochi, has told ex-housemates to ditch their celebrity status and hustle harder when going through difficult times.

The reality star urged his fellow ex-housemates to focus on making a living instead of relying on the fame they gained from the show.

Tochi urges ex-housemates to hustle

Tochi shared the advice in a recent Instagram post.

He said ex-housemates going through tough times should be ready to put their celebrity status aside and start working like everyone else.

If you’re a BBNaija ex-housemate and you’re going through a rough time, listen: ‘pack up all that I am a celebrity nonsense and lock it inside a box… come out and hustle, if not you go cry pass newborn baby oh,’” he said.

Tochi also used his own experience to explain his point.

He said he no longer focuses on his identity as a former reality TV contestant. Instead, he has shifted his attention to business.

I have even forgotten I went on that show since 2024. I see myself as a businessman now. Destiny differs; not everyone is destined to make it from the show. Keep your head up and live your truth.”

‘Surround yourself with people who support you’

The former housemate also advised ex-housemates to pay attention to the people around them.

According to him, they need people who will encourage them to work towards their goals.

Surround yourself with people who support, motivate, and encourage you, not people that will use ‘shebi you know you’re now a celeb,’ to block all your ears. When people see you, let them not see you only as an ex-housemate but also as a hustler with values trying to make it. Favour always meets a man in motion.

Tochi participated in the fifth season of Big Brother Naija, tagged ‘Lockdown’, in 2020.

He was evicted from the reality show after spending two weeks in the house.
