Ayra Starr Releases ‘Starrgirl’ Album, Her Third Studio Project

Ayra Starr has released the ‘Starrgirl’ album, marking another major chapter in her rapidly evolving Nigerian music career today. The 16-track project arrived today, August 14, 2026, following two acclaimed albums that established Starr among Afrobeats’ leading voices worldwide.

‘Starrgirl’ follows ’19 & Dangerous’, released in 2021, and ‘The Year I Turned 21’, which arrived three years later. Across ‘Starrgirl’, Ayra Starr blends Afrobeats, R&B, dance-pop, and international influences while maintaining her distinctive youthful musical identity throughout.

The album features Wizkid on ‘Gimme Dat’, one of the project’s biggest singles and anticipated collaborations for fans worldwide today. Rema also joins Ayra Starr on ‘Who’s Dat Girl’, which previously topped the UK Afrobeats chart and generated significant attention.

Elsewhere, KWN contributes Amazing, while Leon Thomas appears on ‘Pressure’, adding further R&B influences to the project’s diverse soundscape. Theodora features on ‘Ms Paper’, while Danny Ocean appears on ‘Hot Body’ Remix as the album’s bonus closing track.

Meanwhile, Ayra Starr delivers several solo performances, showcasing her songwriting, vocal ability, versatility, and emotional range across different sounds. The album opens with Dangerous before moving through Tornado, ‘Where Do We Go’, ‘Hot Body’, and ‘Midnight In New York’.

Other solo tracks include ‘Dance’, ‘Misunderstood’, ‘Letter To God’, and ‘Treasure’, offering listeners personal moments alongside collaborative records today. ‘Starrgirl’ continues Ayra Starr’s progression since her breakthrough, reflecting an artist increasingly comfortable blending Nigerian sounds with global contemporary music.

Signed to Mavin Records and managed by Roc Nation, Ayra Starr continues expanding her international presence through strategic collaborations worldwide. Her partnership with Wizkid gives ‘Gimme Dat’ major Afrobeats star power, while Rema’s appearance strengthens the album’s Nigerian crossover appeal.

Beyond established Nigerian stars, Starrgirl brings international voices together, creating a broader soundscape connecting Afrobeats with contemporary R&B influences beautifully. With ‘Starrgirl’, Ayra Starr delivers a project built around confidence, experimentation, collaboration, and the continued growth of her musical identity.

For fans, the ‘Starrgirl album’ represents another defining moment as Ayra Starr continues connecting African music with audiences worldwide.
