Joe Biden prostate cancer has reportedly progressed beyond his bones, with his son Hunter describing severe pain and debilitating effects. Hunter Biden made the disclosure during a recent BBC interview, describing his father’s condition as extremely difficult for their family.
He said the cancer has metastasized into Biden’s bones and further, indicating that the disease has advanced beyond previously known sites. The former president, now 83, received his diagnosis in May 2025, shortly after leaving the White House following his presidency. At that time, Biden’s representatives said doctors identified aggressive prostate cancer that had already spread to his bones.
Medical reports described the cancer as hormone-sensitive, meaning doctors expected hormonal treatment could help slow its progression significantly. By October 2025, Biden had begun radiation and hormone therapy as part of his treatment plan for metastatic prostate cancer.
Hunter said his father continues speaking publicly despite the illness, remaining engaged with national issues and matters important to him. He also expressed concern about Biden’s pain, saying he wished his father would complain more because his condition remains difficult.
