Big Brother Naija season 11 housemate Normy has come under criticism after insulting fellow contestant Bells’ family during a heated verbal altercation that erupted inside the house.
The confrontation began when Normy accused Bells of deliberately provoking her in a bid to gain more screen time. She also mocked Bells’ outfit during a recent debate task and dismissed suggestions that she was jealous of her housemate.
“What did you wear to that debate, looking like a hooker, me jealous of you, you must be f**king dreaming,” she said.
Bells quickly fired back, accusing Normy of envy and attacking her appearance. The argument soon descended into a string of personal insults, with Normy referring to Bells as an “Oompa Loompa” and Bells responding by calling Normy a “raccoon”.
The situation escalated further when Normy directed derogatory remarks at Bells’ family, intensifying tensions between the two housemates.
Normy also alleged that Bells was being influenced by fellow housemate Yusuf and maintained that she had no reason to be jealous of her.
“Pained about what exactly? What do you have that I am jealous of, of all people? Stop that nonsense, you don’t even have anything upstairs, look at the fool you made out of yourself from the debate,” she said.
“You can’t even represent yourself, me jealous of you. I think it is what Yusuf is telling you that is making you delusional, making you fucking delusional cause I am not mate in any way.”
The clash has sparked reactions among viewers as tensions continue to rise in the BBNaija house. The season premiered on July 26 with 24 housemates competing for a record N160 million grand prize, the largest in the show’s history
