Davido says he doesn’t want his children to pursue music after addressing the topic during a recent interview with ‘VIBE Magazine’. Asked whether any of his children wanted music careers, the Afrobeats superstar immediately replied, “Nope. Nope,” before explaining his concerns.
Davido revealed his second daughter already shows strong musical qualities through her beautiful singing voice and energetic personality around family gatherings. Despite recognizing her talent, he admitted knowing the challenges, sacrifices, and obstacles that shaped his own successful music career.
The singer explained he became the first professional musician in the Adeleke family despite coming from a successful business background with supportive parents. Although his parents initially had concerns, they eventually encouraged him to follow his passion after recognizing his determination and remarkable talent.
Davido says he doesn’t want his children to pursue music because he understands the demanding realities behind achieving lasting success within the entertainment industry. However, he insisted he would never stop his children from pursuing careers they genuinely love if they possess exceptional abilities.
