Riches Sammy, the husband of Nollywood actress Nkiru Sylvanus, has threatened legal action against social media users over what he described as derogatory comments about his marriage.

The warning follows the circulation of a photo of Sylvanus that sparked speculation about her health and appearance.

Some users claimed marriage had changed the actress. One X user wrote: “What’s really going on with some of our Nollywood celebrities. What happened to our favourite Nollywood actress, Nkiru Sylvanus Just 2 years after marriage, and she is now like this.”

In an Instagram post, Sammy dismissed claims about his wife’s health. He said the viral image did not reflect her actual appearance.

“A picture that does not represent what my wife looks like has been circulating online recently. I might choose to overlook that and all the comments being made,” he said.

Sammy also warned users against linking the photo to negative claims about their marriage.

“But what I will not tolerate is someone making a derogatory or misleading caption about my marriage. I will take legal action, so be warned.”

The businessman stressed that he would not accept comments he believes misrepresent his relationship with the actress.

The controversy has fueled discussion on social media, with many users sharing opinions about Sylvanus’ appearance. However, Sammy insists the viral photo does not show what his wife currently looks like.

Sylvanus has not publicly commented on the issue. Her husband’s statement, however, signals that the couple may pursue legal action against anyone who spreads claims they consider harmful.
