Nigerian singer Brymo has recalled a moment when music star 2Baba allegedly asked his estranged wife, Annie Macaulay, if she had ever been involved with him. He also spoke about his past relationships with married women.

Brymo shared the story during a recent interview on the Notjustok podcast. The singer, whose real name is Olawale Ashimi, said the incident happened in 2019 at an office in Lekki Phase 1, Lagos.

According to Brymo, 2Baba raised the question while they were together with Annie.

“As at 2019, I remember that moment in Naomi’s office in Lekki Phase 1 when 2face looked me straight in the eyes and asked ‘Annie, you don f**k Brymo?’” he said.

“I will never forget it. I am wicked, you people don’t know me.”

Neither 2Baba nor Annie has responded publicly to the claim.

Brymo also admitted that he dated several married women during the early years of his music career. He warned younger artists against getting involved with married women.

“I met several older women who were truly married. This goes to younger artists: stop sleeping with people’s wives. They will cut your life short. They would tell me they were separated from their husbands,” he said.

The singer has made controversial comments about colleagues before. In 2023, he revealed that he once demanded sex from female collaborators, including Simi and Ghanaian singer Efya.

Brymo said he wanted to know what it felt like to make music with a female artist he was dating. He also said part of him felt remorseful about the condition he gave Simi. However, he said he did not know she was in a relationship with Adekunle Gold at the time.
