AMC Theatres CEO Adam Aron has shared a detailed account of Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce’s wedding, revealing how Madison Square Garden transformed into a romantic garden venue before he later deleted his post on X.
“It did not look like Madison Square Garden,” Aron wrote in the since-deleted post. “Immediately upon entry, everything… floors, walls, ceiling… was draped in peach and white. Large blown-up pictures of Taylor and Travis at each age, year by year, from one year-old to late teenagehood, were on display.”
A Garden Inside Madison Square Garden
According to Aron, the famous arena looked nothing like its usual setting. Instead, guests stepped into what he described as a countryside-inspired garden.
“A small portion of MSG was cordoned off, devoid of any notion that a basketball or hockey game ever shared that space. Somehow magically, someone created an outdoor garden at a lush countryside retreat. Everything is draped in green and white this time. Real flowers and I think artificial three welcomed fifteen rows of maybe 75 or so chairs. They say there were around one thousand attendees, but surprisingly, it all felt intimate and small. Everything was closed.”
Guests also enjoyed a romantic atmosphere as “romantic songs played” before “a few violins and a cello ushered in the wedding party.” Aron praised the officiant, whom reports identified as Adam Sandler, describing him as “so warm and welcoming, funny and eloquent.”
Aron Reflects on the Ceremony
Describing the vows, Aron called them “long, entertaining, personal, charming, emotional, irreverent and endearing.”
He also wrote, “This is no small love. Each is at the absolute pinnacle of their world. Each is obviously head over heels about having found their soulmate.“
The AMC chief ended his post with a heartfelt message for the newlyweds.
“Congrats to ‘Trav and Tay-tay,’” Aron concluded. “Swifities everywhere and perhaps a perhaps larger-than-normal Chiefs Nation wishes that your happy day will continue without end.”
Aron has longstanding ties to Swift after AMC released her Eras Tour concert film in 2023, which grossed $261 million worldwide. The company is also headquartered in Kansas City, home of Kelce’s NFL team, the Chiefs
