Donna Duke, daughter of former Cross River State governor Donald Duke, and Tobechukwu Rapu, son of cleric Tony Rapu, have sealed their union with a white wedding ceremony in Greece after holding their traditional wedding in Calabar earlier this year.

The couple first celebrated their traditional marriage in January in Calabar, where family and friends gathered to witness the ceremony. Dressed in traditional attire, the bride and groom were joined by loved ones in a colourful celebration of their union.

During the event, Rapu said, “We have come a long distance. We have found the woman we want. And we want to take her with us”.

Their white wedding took place on Saturday at an open space in the Athenian Riviera, Greece. Footage from the ceremony showed Donna walking down the aisle with her father before the pair later shared a dance during the reception. The newlyweds were also seen cutting a large wedding cake as guests celebrated with them.

Family members, friends and well-wishers have since taken to social media to congratulate the couple.

The wedding comes more than a year after Tobechukwu proposed to Donna in March 2025 in the presence of family and friends.

Donna is an artist pursuing a Master’s degree in Art and Cultural Enterprise at Central Saint Martins, University of the Arts London. Her work draws inspiration from Mexican painter Frida Kahlo and explores themes of transition and new experiences.
