Neymar Jr. has teamed up with FlareFlow for a 16-title AI-powered live-action microdrama franchise. The first six titles will launch worldwide on June 19.
FlareFlow announced the partnership ahead of the APOS conference, where chief marketing officer and COL Group general manager Timothy Oh will join a panel on the microdrama industry. The company plans to release the first wave of titles between June 19 and June 22. The launch also comes during a period of strong global interest in football.
The franchise uses AI-powered live-action production tools. It covers several genres, including sports drama and science fiction. The first six titles are “The Way Back to Glory,” “The Playboy System: Scoring the Goddesses,” “Soccer Star Kidnapped Into the Galaxy Cup: Score or Die!,” “Fake Neymar, Real God,” “Project to Legend: NEY 10,” and “The Limping Janitor Is the True World Football King.”
“This partnership represents a defining moment for the global entertainment ecosystem,” said James Wang, CEO of FlareFlow. “Neymar is one of the most commercially magnetic athletes on the planet. Bringing his global star power together with our advanced AI creative workflows allows us to push the boundaries of storytelling at an unprecedented scale.”
FlareFlow will also distribute the franchise in mainland China through Xiaohongshu, a digital lifestyle platform with more than 200 million daily active users.
“Unveiling this franchise at APOS marks the true dawn of our Vertical 2.0 strategy,” said Oh. “We are expanding premium vertical storytelling far beyond its first wave into highly scalable genres like sports, timed perfectly to capture global attention during the World Cup season.”
FlareFlow said Neymar’s social media audience exceeds 220 million followers. The company has released about 5,200 series and serves 33 million registered users across more than 200 countries and regions.
