Speaking during a Film Club discussion with Kate Henshaw and Blessing Nze, Chude admitted that he was not sure the second season could match the success of the first one. He explained that the original series set a very high standard, making him doubt whether the sequel would be as good.
Despite his doubts, he decided to watch the show because of his long-standing relationship with EbonyLife Studios.

“As I began watching, I was excited,” he said. “I thought I was only going to watch one episode, but I kept going. I finished episode after episode, and I was buzzing.”
According to him, the show was so impressive that he immediately sent congratulatory messages to EbonyLife founder Mo Abudu and actress Kate Henshaw.
“I sent a message to Auntie Mo and told her it was a great film. I also sent a message to Kate to tell her how amazing it was,” he said.
