Nigerian music producer and singer Pheelz has shared how his hit song All Night Long came to life, revealing that childhood musical influences played a major role in its creation.

Speaking in a behind-the-scenes video, the artist said the idea struck him after he woke up thinking about sounds he enjoyed as a child. One genre that stood out was Makossa, known for its lively rhythms and distinctive vocal expressions.

“I woke up today thinking about some of the sounds I really loved as a kid, and one of those sounds is Makossa,” he said. Inspired by the genre, he headed to the studio and began experimenting with melodies and ad-libs.

The singer explained that he wanted the track to tell the story of someone searching for love. “I want to write about searching for a queen all night long,” he said while developing the song’s early ideas.

As the session progressed, a chorus began to take shape. Pheelz revealed that he already had a melody in mind and wanted it to end with the phrase, “I’ve been searching for you.” That concept later became a key part of the record.

Footage from the creative session shows him testing different vocal patterns, melodies, and rhythmic elements. The clip also highlights how spontaneous ideas helped shape the final version of the song.
