Tiwi, wife of popular Nollywood actor Kunle Remi, has opened up about the moment she knew they would end up together.

The couple held their civil wedding in December 2023. They later celebrated their traditional and white weddings in January 2024 in Ibadan, Oyo State. Since then, fans have continued to admire their love story.

The Lagos Meeting That Changed Everything

During a recent interview, Tiwi recalled a meeting with Kunle in Lagos that left a lasting impression on her.

At the time, she had just returned to Lagos and was preparing to leave again a few days later. She decided to contact the actor and suggested they spend some time together.

“I was like, ‘Hey, I’m leaving in like two or three days. We should meet up or whatever,” she said.

A Surprise Encounter

Tiwi explained that she was on her way to a concert with her cousin when she spotted Kunle.

Although she was inside a vehicle with tinted windows, she immediately recognised him. Without thinking twice, she jumped out of the car and ran toward him.

“I remember I just knew that that was him. I don’t know what came over me. I just jerked the door open, jumped out of the car, ran up to him and gave him a big hug,” she recalled.

The moment stayed with her because of how natural everything felt.

A Special Connection

After greeting each other, the pair shared a brief but meaningful moment. “And he hugs me, and we just look at each other. In that moment, Kay would tell you he knew he was going to marry me,” she said.

For Tiwi, the meeting felt easy and comfortable. She admitted she was excited to see him and enjoyed being around him.

“I was just so excited, and I was like, ‘He’s so cute. Let’s hang out,” she added.

The two spent time talking and getting to know each other better. Their friendship continued to grow from there.
