Ozedikus has sparked fresh conversation online after sharing his thoughts on the future of Lekki, raising concerns about the area’s rapid development and what it could mean in the coming years.
Taking to his X (formerly Twitter) page, the producer hinted at worries surrounding the pace of growth in Lekki, suggesting that while the area has become a hub for luxury living, nightlife, and business, there may be underlying issues that need urgent attention. His remarks, though brief, struck a chord with many users who have long debated the sustainability of the district’s expansion.
Lekki, known for its upscale estates, entertainment spots, and proximity to major projects like the Dangote Refinery, has experienced significant transformation over the past decade. However, concerns about infrastructure, traffic congestion, flooding, and environmental pressure continue to surface, especially as more people and businesses move into the area.
Following Ozedikus’ post, social media users weighed in with mixed reactions. While some agreed with his concerns and pointed to existing challenges as signs of deeper issues ahead, others defended Lekki’s growth, describing it as a symbol of progress and economic opportunity in Lagos.
