Renowned gospel minister and worship leader, Pastor Nathaniel Bassey, has announced that the Hallelujah Festival 2026 will take place on Friday, 27th February 2026, at the iconic Tafawa Balewa Square (TBS), Lagos.

The Hallelujah Festival traditionally marks the grand finale of the Hallelujah Challenge, a global online worship movement that gathers millions of participants nightly in prayer and praise. For 2026, the Hallelujah Challenge is scheduled to run from 9th to 26th February, culminating in the highly anticipated in-person festival.

This announcement is particularly significant as it marks the first time in the history of the Hallelujah Challenge that the Hallelujah Festival will be hosted at Tafawa Balewa Square – one of Nigeria’s largest and most historic event venues. The move to TBS reflects the rapid growth and expanding reach of the worship movement, which has seen a steady increase in physical attendance over the years.

In its earlier years, the Hallelujah Festival was held indoors and required tickets and prior registration. However, the growing turnout prompted a shift in venue strategy. In 2025, the festival was hosted at the Police College, Ikeja, Lagos, signaling a transition toward larger, open venues to accommodate the rising number of worshippers.

With TBS now selected as the 2026 venue, expectations are high for an even larger gathering of worshippers from across Nigeria and beyond. The Hallelujah Festival has become a powerful moment of corporate worship, prayer, and spiritual renewal, bringing together people of diverse backgrounds in a shared experience of faith.
