Nigerian content creator Bemi Orojogun, better known online as “London Bus Aunty”, has earned a nomination in the Video of the Year category at the 2025 TikTok UK Awards. 

Orojogun is based in the United Kingdom and has become a viral sensation thanks to her simple yet captivating videos featuring London’s iconic red double-decker buses. Her content has clicked with audiences globally, and now she is set to compete alongside other top creators such as Friends of Elmtree, Sam Morris and Gardiner Brothers. 

In a joyful reaction posted on her TikTok page, Orojogun said she could hardly believe the nomination and thanked her followers for their support. “Guess where I am? At the TikTok Awards! I have been nominated as the Best Video of the Year 2025,” she exclaimed in her video. 

Her rise comes as something of a surprise. Known affectionately as London Bus Aunty by fans, Orojogun began attracting attention when her videos started amassing millions of views. The Guardian reports that one of her viral clips has been viewed over 48 million times, highlighting the global appeal of her bus-spotting format.

In her viral posts, she often appears quietly on the pavement filming a passing bus, with her colourful outfits and warm smile doing much of the talking. Some viewers initially worried she was standing in the road, but she clarified she films safely from the pavement edge.
