Hours after Nigerian Afrobeats sensation, David Adeleke, better known as Davido, was spotted receiving and hosting Igbo Highlife legend, Bright Chimiezie, netizens warned him against working with South Easterners.
OSG recalls reporting when Davido hosted the Highlife legend, Bright Chimiezie, to a dinner date in Lagos. This came days after Bright Chimiezie acknowledged Davido’s revelation that his viral new song, With You, was inspired by a song the legend released in 1987.
Bright Chimiezie released a video to acknowledge Davido’s comment and was spotted days later linking up with an Osun state-born artiste.

However, a comment shared online by a Davido fan who warned the singer against trusting and working with people from the South-Eastern part of the country has gone viral.

The Afrobeats superstar responded to the comment, sharing why he cannot do without mixing up or frolicking with Igbos. He said:
“lol, I AM IGBO by blood.”
