My Children Helped Me Defeat Depression – Bukky Wright Shares Her Struggle While Leaving in US

Veteran Nollywood actress Bukky Wright recently shared a heartfelt story while on Teju Babyface’s YouTube show, and it has stirred emotions online.

During an extensive conversation with the ace TV show host and presenter, Bukky Wright spoke about living in the US and how her kids were the most important things to her in that period.

One of the highlights of their conversation was when Bukky Wright opened up about her struggles with mental health and depression.

She revealed that there were times she was clinically depressed and was on medications to help suppress it so she didn’t become suicidal.

The veteran Nollywood actress shared in the interview how she was able to defeat her clinical depression. She revealed how are kids were the ones who helped her defeat depression.

Bukky Wright noted that her kids have always been her greatest critics, and she sees them as the pillar of her life.

She also explained that her kids understand how much she loves them and doesn’t mind laying down her life for theirs.

But when she went into depression, her kids were the ones who sat her down and had a candid conversation with her about her mental health and how to wean herself out of it.

Bukky Wright shared how her kids asked her to go back to acting her first love and reignite her passion. She said that was the day she regained her mental health and never relapsed.
