In less than three days after the death of Chief Emmanuel Iwuanyanwu, Leader, Ohanaeze Ndigbo Worldwide, another tragedy has befallen the South Eastern part of Nigeria as Senator Ifeanyi Ubah passed on today, July 27, 2024.
Ifeanyi Ubah was the senator representing Anambra South at the Red Chamber in Nigeria until his death.
On Saturday, July 27, 2024, it was reported that the politician and the Chief Executive Officer of Capital Oil passed away in a London hotel room.
Re-elected to the 10th Senate under the Young Peoples Party (YPP), Ifeanyi Ubah had defected to the All Progressive Congress (APC) last year.
Recall that in September 2022, while travelling to Nnewi in Enugwu-Ukwu, Anambra State, Ubah was ambushed by gunmen and narrowly escaped assassination.
After shots were fired at his convoy, at least five people—two of them police officers—were killed. The car he was riding in was bulletproof, which is how he survived.
The businessman would have turned 53 on September 3, 2024.
