The 2023 General Election in Nigeria is set to take place in two phases. The first phase, featuring the presidential and national assembly elections, will occur on Saturday, February 25th, 2023.
The second phase, featuring the governorship and state houses of assembly elections, will take place on Saturday, March 11th, 2023. According to Section 32(1) of the Electoral Act 2022, the timetable and schedule of activities for the 2023 General Election were released by the Commission on February 26th, 2022.
This release included the final list of candidates nominated by the 18 political parties for the national elections, which includes one presidential constituency, 109 senatorial districts, and 360 federal constituencies.
The list of candidates has been made available to the public through publication in all constituencies nationwide and on the Commission’s website.
