Leaders and stalkholders of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Delta North Senatorial District have urged Nigerians to temper their very incendiary vocabulary so that President Muhammadu Buhari can continue to lead the country to peace and prosperity.
In an eight-point statement published at the end of their meeting in Agbor, the party officials and stakeholders gave President Muhammadu Buhari their vote of confidence in his management of the country’s issues.
The communique, signed by Mr Chidi Okonji, State Secretary of the APC Delta Caretaker Committee, and Chief George Okafor, Senatorial Chairman of the Committee for Delta North, noted that the complexity of the myriad of challenges confronting the country demanded dexterity in political and economic reengineering of the nation-state, “which is what the nation is getting now.”
“The meeting asked to all Nigerians, regardless of party membership, to demonstrate awareness of the complicated nature of our world today and tone down their very inflammatory rhetorics so that Mr President can continue to lead the country to peace and prosperity,” according to the communiqué.
