The former Emir of Kano, Muhammadu Sanusi II has arrived Kaduna from Lagos. This would be his first visit to any northern part of Nigeria since he was dethroned five months ago. Upon his arrival, a large crowd of people gathered around him at the Air Force Base in Kaduna to welcome him.

Muhammadu Sanusi II was a former governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria before his enthronment as the Emir of Kano. He was dethroned in March, 2020 for disrespecting the office of the governor and other government agencies.
