Former US. President, Barack Obama has debuted on the Billboard’s Hot R&B Songs chart at number 22.
Obama was featured on the remix to “One Last Time”, a gospel inspired remix of the Broadway show, “Hamilton” Other acts on the song by Lin-Manuel Miranda are Christopher Jackson and gospel star BeBe Winans. In the song, Obama, the 44th president of the United States, delivers the George Washington’s farewell address.
The song, released on December 22nd aims to raise money for various nonprofits. The song’s title is a reference to Obama, the 44th president of the United States, and showcases the former POTUS delivering George Washington’s farewell address.
This isn’t Obama’s first time charting on the Billboard chart. He has previously charted twice. The first was in March, 2009 with a A Moment in History: The Inauguration of Barack Obama while the second came in December 2015 after featuring on the song, “Pop Off” by JX Cannon.
