The former Manchester United striker has been a hit in the Bundesliga, scoring 19 goals in all competitions this season alone.
It is understood that Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp has showed interest in the striker and has made him his number one transfer target since star strikers Daniel Sturridge and Danny Ings were sidelined by injury.
It most likely means that Liverpool will make a huge bid for the striker before the transfer window end or in the summer.
Arsenal and Spurs have also been linked with the Mexican poacher, but it is now believed Anfield could be his most likely destination.
