New York City Mayor Mayor Bill de Blasio announced a ban on travel and transportation as record snowstorm hit the city.

The snowstorm began on Friday and is being felt across twenty states in the US. 11 people have been reported dead as up to 15 inches of snow is expected in New York.

All flights into New York have also been canceled with nonessential transportation banned.

Washington isn’t left out either, with 30inches of snow predicted for the next couple of days.
