Nicki Minaj stays in a No shade Zone, and if you’re not ready for the backlash that would be her reply, you shouldn’t come close… Ask Taylor Swift and Miley Cyrus.
The rapper has shown that she’s not afraid to speak her mind on social media, especially if she’s been slighted and a gossip site called Bossip clearly forgot. The gossip site started a Twitter chat yesterday asking why there aren’t more mainstream female rappers in the music industry. Legit question, right? Something Nicki Minaj is no doubt wondering herself.
#seriousquestion Why aren’t there more mainstream female rappers?

Really, does a female rapper have to be top notch to make it? I see a lot of so-so male rappers in the game…
— Bossip (@Bossip) December 11, 2015
Then this happened … Bossip retweeted an ignorant comment made by someone else, thereby effectively endorsing it, or so it would seem. The undeniably sexist tweet argued that “men are visual creatures they don’t care if you can sing,” followed by a slam directed at Nicki Minaj attributing her fame to her body and not her talent. “That’s why nicki had to buy an ass to blow up! #Fact,” the tweet said.
Yep, men are visual creatures they don’t care if you can sing…That’s why nicki had to buy an ass to blow up! #Fact https://t.co/k2cei7Pu6t

As expected, the award-winning rapper was not going to let that one slide. Minaj clapped back with a slew of scathing tweets that set the bullsh*t straight.
I’ve gone toe to toe w/everyone of your favorite male MC’s. To undermine my skill & diversity as an MC is actually comical @ this point. ??? — NICKI MINAJ (@NICKIMINAJ) December 11, 2015
I saw Bossip retweeting ignorance so I figured I’d put that out there. Lol. The greats give me my respect. The great journalists as well.

If a male rapper was on tracks w/Wayne, Jay, Eminem, Kanye, etc going ROUND 4 ROUND he’d b hailed as a GREAT as well. Jealousy is a disease — NICKI MINAJ (@NICKIMINAJ) December 11, 2015
Not giving me my props doesn’t stop me from being great. I am a mogul. Your hate is what made this possible. Lol. Thank uuuuuu! Mmuuaahhh!!!

Bossip did not back down even a little bit in the aftermath of Minaj’s response:
We undermined your skill? We must have missed that part… @NICKIMINAJ https://t.co/fq3dpLhmmd
— Bossip (@Bossip) December 11, 2015
Wow, our lil’ question had Nicki hotter than a Middle Eastern climate, violent…
