The PDP in a statement just after the ministers were assigned portfolios on Wednesday by President Muhammadu Buhari, said the present administration had so far, played heavily on dramatising routine procedures and processes, which was even glaring in the prolonged swearing-in ceremony of the ministers.
The statement, which was signed by PDP National Publicity Secretary, Olisa Metuh, said the new ministers should however hit the ground running to improve the country’s economy.
The party noted that with the inauguration of the ministers, the All Progressives Congress (APC) administration should fully resolve the issues on the actual position of the nation’s economy.
The party urged the new Ministers to note the challenge before them regarding the image of the country, which it claimed that the APC government had changed from being the ‘Heart of Africa’ and a country of ‘Good people, Great nation’ to that of ‘Corrupt people, Broke nation’.
