5 Foods To Help Fight Against Corona Virus

Fighting against Covid-19, your first line of defense is your immune system. The immune system has to have a strong response to the invaders and the only way to do that is by loading up on some foods and spices.

In light of Covid-19, Doctors advice you eatย mostly fruit and vegetables and stay away from meat, dairy and processed food.

Here are five foods that are shown to fight inflammation and boost immunity whether you are dealing with COVID-19 or another disease that requires your body to be healthier.

1. Ginger

Ginger helps to boost the immune system with its strong anti-inflammatory and antioxidant properties. And, with what is happening currently in the world, it is more important than ever to look after our immune systems.

Taking ginger daily is advisable to help attack corona virus. It also helps to relieve discomfort and prevent nausea, which is why ginger ale was once used for sore stomachs because it had pure ginger.

2. Citrus Fruits

Vitamin C, also known as ascorbic acid, is a water-soluble nutrient that can be found in citrus fruits such as grapefruit, oranges, tangerines, lemons, limes, and clementines. Because your body does not produce vitamin C, you must consume it on a daily basis to ensure that you have enough to produce healthy collagen. It acts as an antioxidant, that helps boost your immune system.

3. Tumeric

Tumeric boosts the immune system by increasing antibody production, and doctors advise patients with auto-immune disorders to take 500 mg of curcumin every day to relieve inflammation and pain.

If you ever feel healthier for eating curry, it is probably because of the numeric, which is an ingredient that gives it its burnt orange color. This heavily pigmented spice is noted for its anti-inflammatory properties.

4. Garlic

Another spice of superpowers when it comes to battling disease is garlic. Garlicโ€™s immune-boosting propertiesย are because of itsย sulfur-containing compounds, such as allicin. Allicin is thought to improve your immune cells’ ability to fight off colds and flu, including viruses of all kinds.

Garlic also has anti-microbial and anti-viral properties thought to fight off infections.

5. Spinach

Spinach is high in vitamin C, antioxidants, and beta carotene, both of which help the immune system fight off intruders. Don’t overcook the spinach so the antioxidants would become less involved while it cooks. You’ll hold more nutrients intact if you eat it raw or gently steamed.
