The 25-year-old made his exit from PSG official on Friday night in a video posted on his official Instagram page, following news in February that he would be leaving the French champions.
In the video, Kylian Mbappé said in French, “I wanted to speak to you. I’ve always said that I would speak with you when the time comes, and so I wanted to announce to you all that it’s my last year at Paris Saint-Germain. I will not extend and the adventure will come to an end in a few weeks”.
“I will play my last game at the Parc des Princes on Sunday. It’s a lot of emotion; many years where I had the chance and the great honour to be a member of the biggest French club – one of the best in the world – which allowed me to arrive here, to have my first experience in a club with a lot of pressure; to grow as a player of course, by being alongside some of the best in history – some of the greatest champions; to meet a lot of people, to grow as a man as well, with all the glory and the mistakes I’ve made.”

Further revealing that he will “leave his country” to pursue the next phase of his career, Mbappé might have hinted at a potential transfer to Real Madrid in his announcement video.
It is expected that the Frenchman, whose contract expires this summer, will sign with Real Madrid.
Negotiations between PSG and Real Madrid are still ongoing regarding his decision to depart for a fee or forego his wages. Mbappé has promised PSG that he won’t ever sign a free transfer.
The 25-year-old forward is a long-term target for Real Madrid, who are willing to offer him the largest salary in team history, but he would have to accept a wage reduction to play for the Spanish team.
Real Madrid made a €220 million (£188 million) offer for Mbappé, but PSG rejected it in August 2021. The attacker then decided to sign a new contract with PSG for three years, which runs out this summer.
Mbappé declined a summer offer of €300 million (£256 million) from Saudi club Al Hilal which PSG had accepted.
