Nigerian singer, Ayra Starr is in the spirit of the Easter celebration, which preaches selfless love and compassion, through her ‘E Dey Rush’ campaign.
Ayra Starr donated a borehole water source to the Orimolade Ifako community in Lagos State, on March 30, 2024. The project was carried out by her ‘E Dey Rush’ campaign, which she started last year to celebrate her hit song, ‘Rush’.i
The singer made the announcement on her social media handles. She wrote, “Started ‘E Dey Rush’ campaign last to provide clean and safe water to communities. I’m grateful for the partnership of @hopespringwater and @mavinrecords to make this happen. Everyone deserves good water”.
Ayra Starr has received accolades from fans and netizens in general. The indigenes of the community could be seen in the announcement video beaming with joy and excitement when the project was being launched.
The singer got her first Grammy nomination at the 66th Grammy Awards held in February 2024, when her hit song, ‘Rush’ was nominated in the new category, ‘Best African Music Performance’.
