In its milestone of the 10th edition of the Africa Magic Viewers’ Choice Awards (AMVCA). Alex Ekubo, Genoveva Umeh, Layi Wasabi, and others were nominated for the first time in the 10th AMVCA edition. This is the first time they get to be nominated for any category. The nomination reveals their exceptional talent and creative contributions to the movie industry, as well as a validation of their commitment to storytelling and performance.
Talking about exceptions, Alex Ekubo did fantastically well in the movie ‘Afamefuna’. The movie is about an extensive period of traditional business education and service, in which the mentor wants the “settlement” process. This involves providing financial and other support to help the apprentice start their own business. Once settled, the apprentice gains independence from the mentor.
As AMVCA embarks on its 10th edition, excitement builds for the list of nominees, which was revealed on March 24, 2024, across all Africa Magic channels. These first-timers showcased a dynamic of hard work and some effort they have put in place to be on this list. Here is the list of first-time nominees of the 10th AMVCA.
