Singer Iyanya disclosed the recovery of one of the stolen diamond chains that belonged to fellow artist Mayorkun. The chain was returned to The Grand Hotel Calabar, prompting gratitude from Iyanya on social media.
Iyanya took to his social media platform on Tuesday, sharing a picture of the retrieved jewelry and extending thanks to the individual responsible for its return. Expressing appreciation, he urged for the return of the second missing chain: “Thank you to the guy who brought this back this morning to THE GRAND HOTEL CALABAR. Just returned now is 1 of 2 of #Mayorkun jewelry. We have one more to go. My brothers, if you have the second one please help us return it.”
The return of the stolen item follows Mayorkun’s recent public announcement on social media, vowing not to perform in Calabar again after an undisclosed item was stolen during his concert. Expressing dissatisfaction with the overall experience, Mayorkun’s post triggered Iyanya’s offer of compensation to anyone facilitating the return of the second missing item.
