Lagos, Nigeria – Khosi Twala, the winner of the popular reality TV show Big Brother Titans, is currently enjoying her time in Nigeria despite earlier apprehensions about visiting the West African country. In an Instagram Live session with fellow contestant Marvin Achi, who happens to be Nigerian, Twala revealed that she was initially fearful of the negative reception she might receive in Nigeria.
“I didn’t know there were so many people in Nigeria who didn’t want me there. There was even a petition. I was so scared when I heard about the petition against me not visiting Nigeria,” shared Twala during the conversation.
However, upon her arrival at Lagos’ Murtala Muhammed International Airport on Friday, Twala experienced a pleasant surprise. She was greeted by locals, including a brass band, who gave her a warm welcome. The reception contrasted greatly with her earlier concerns.
During an interview on Beat FM’s morning show, Twala expressed her delight at the warm reception she received. She stated, “Honestly, I’ve always wanted to come to Nigeria. I didn’t think it was going to be like this, like a whole band welcoming me. I just thought I would visit Nigeria like a regular citizen from SA, just trying to experience and explore the culture. Then when I got here, it was just amazing.”
In case you missed it. First video is her very jovial introduction and the second one is what she’s been up to outside the house ?

Since winning Big Brother Titans and walking away with the US $100,000 (R1.7 million) prize money two months ago, Twala has been focusing on her charity organization. She recently launched Active Lifestyle, which includes a fitness app and her own line of gym apparel. Twala expressed her excitement about the project, saying, “There are a couple of things I’m working on.”
In addition to her personal ventures, Twala has been selected to host the upcoming Nigeria Community Excellence Awards in South Africa. The event celebrates excellence within the Nigerian community in the country. Twala expressed her honor at being chosen as the ambassador for the event, emphasizing the importance of South Africans coming together with Nigerians and the rest of Africa to celebrate Nigerian achievements.
Over the weekend, Twala joined fellow Big Brother Titans contestants in celebrating Victor Panwal’s birthday, further solidifying the bond formed during their time on the show.
