In a significant announcement, Simon Ekpa, a disciple of self-acclaimed Mazi Nnamdi Kanu, unveiled the Biafra Republic Government in Exile Passport while declaring the alliance and activation of the Biafra Government In Exile (BGIE). Ekpa made this revelation through a statement on Monday, May 15, 2023.

Accompanied by the passport’s unveiling, Ekpa expressed his disassociation from Nigeria, emphasizing, “While we have nothing to do with Nigeria, however, if the US visa ban exempted the President-elect Bola Tinubu, the list is a fraud! If all the people listed have been found wanting by the US and yet they are hoping on Nigeria for anything, they are also part of the fraud. The Biafra Republic Government In-Exile will take the lead in due time.”

The Biafra sympathizers who flocked to the comments section shared their admiration and thoughts about the passport. Among them, Uzo King proposed design modifications, suggesting changes such as the color of the ivory to gold and adjusting the feathers on the eagle wings to represent the original provinces of Biafra.

Orishe Amone, another commenter, expressed sheer delight, exclaiming, “Very beautiful, absolutely beautiful! Biafra will always go for the best because God Almighty has made it to be so. All I hear from Biafra every day is good news, and I thank our PM and all BRGE for the good job. All must hail Biafra Republic.”

Amidst the discussions, one Twitter user sought guidance from Ekpa, asking how to acquire the Biafra Republic Government in Exile Passport and whether it can be used for travel outside Nigeria.

The unveiling of the Biafra Republic Government in Exile Passport by Simon Ekpa marks a significant moment in the Biafra movement, capturing the attention and generating enthusiasm among Biafra sympathizers. As the alliance and activation of the Biafra Government In Exile are declared, the passport serves as a symbol of the movement’s aspirations and raises questions about its future implications and international recognition.
