In his Easter message to Nigerians, President Muhammadu Buhari emphasized that Easter is a season of hope and a reminder that even in difficult situations, God can bring about positive change.
He personally signed the message on Friday, and highlighted the victory of light over darkness as a central theme of Easter.
Looking to the future with renewed hope and optimism, Buhari urged all Nigerians to remain confident in their country, especially following the recent general elections. While congratulating the newly elected leaders, he acknowledged the right of those who may not be satisfied with the outcome to seek legal redress and urged patience in allowing the legal system to take its course.
Buhari expressed his gratitude for the rare privilege of serving as the country’s president since 2015, pledging to continue to work towards keeping Nigeria united, prosperous, and secure.
Finally, as Nigerians celebrate Easter, the President urged them to embrace love, compassion, kindness, resilience, and forgiveness.
