Bola Tinubu’s election as the President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria has been congratulated by former Nigerian military president, General Ibrahim Badamasi Babangida (rtd.).

In a statement released by his media office, IBB praised the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) for overseeing an election that would bring about a new Nigeria.

Furthermore, Babangida commended the Nigerian people for turning out in large numbers to exercise their right to vote and elect someone like Tinubu as the next president. He expressed joy at witnessing this historic moment and confidently declared that Tinubu is the right person for the job.

As someone who has held this position before, Babangida acknowledged that there is still much work to be done but believes that Tinubu has what it takes to take Nigeria to the next level. He highlighted Nigeria’s potential as a nation and emphasized the need for a good direction to continue being the giant of Africa.

Babangida added that Tinubu is a performer who loves his people and knows how to put the right person in the right position. He called on Nigerians to support Tinubu in rebuilding the nation and urged other candidates to accept the former Lagos governor’s emergence as the will of God.

The former military president concluded by stating that this is a bright moment for Nigeria and called on the nation to take its destiny into its hands and make things work. He expressed confidence that with determination and commitment, the country can achieve its full potential.
