Fireboy DML on becoming a ‘Playboy’
I feel proud of myself, the feeling is pride in yourself but particularly in Afrobeats, in Africa and the Nigerian music scene. But we cannot, I cannot… not give accolades to the generations before mine. Afrobeats has always been about paving the way for the next generation after you, opening up doors. That’s how it’s always been and I feel like even we are breaking bigger doors, bigger boundaries for the generations after us. I just feel proud to be at the forefront of that crusade
