The Lagos State Police Command has arrested a 30-year-old man, Uchenna Daniels in the state, over the kidnap of a girl, Hannatu Kabri.
We assembled that Daniels kidnaped the victim in Kaduna and fled to Lagos, where he was apprehended.
The state Police Public Relations Officer, SP Benjamin Hundeyin, during a parade at the command headquarters, Ikeja, said the suspect was chased and arrested at Allen Avenue, Ikeja.
“The suspect revealed that the victim’s boyfriend, one Ahmed, and one Biliya, planned the kidnap with him and collected a ransom of N2m in Kaduna through a Bureau de Change from the parents of the victim before she was released on March 28, 2022.
“He added that they made use of a toy gun to commit the crime. Investigation is ongoing to arrest other fleeing suspects,” he added.
