Charlette N’Guessan, a 26-year old Ghanaian woman is the winner of this year’s Royal Academy of Engineering’s Africa Prize for Innovation, making her the first ever woman to get the award. The award was announced at a virtual ceremony with Charlette, winning ยฃ25,000 prize, which is around $33,000.
Charlette N’Guessan is the CEO and co-founder ofย BACE API, a startup that focuses on digitally identifying people’s identities throughย facial recognition and AI โ which is a tool that could transform cyber security on the continent.
