Another Nigerian who hails from Imo State, Chioma Odidika has made us proud by portraying the values of integrity and honesty in Columbia, South Carolina.
She did this by returning $4000 from possible scammers who sent her a mail and a cheque of $4000. Chioma Odidika immediately called the President of Organization of African Unity SC, Tonna Okei, who in turn also called the Sheriff. After immediately submitting the cheque to the Sheriff, Chioma Odidika was given an award of honesty and a job offer by the Sheriff.
Her conduct has been indeed applauded by Hon. Abike Dabiri-Erewa who said in a statement, “It is indeed a well deserved award and a great opportunity to celebrate you. This is another victory for Nigeria, as another proud Nigeria is portraying what Nigeria is about and that is honesty.
“Thanks for being a good ambassador of your country Nigeria, you have portrayed the image of Nigerians in the diaspora as unique, honest & trustworthy immigrants. No legacy is as rich as honesty; it remains the best policy. We must continue to exhibit such behaviour in wherever we find ourselves. We must continue to be a good Ambassador to our country.”
