Chichi became the fifth runner-up in Big Brother Naija Level Up Season. She talked about her time in Biggie’s house, the punishment that led to her growth in the house, and her relationship with Deji on Unfiltered with OloriSuperGal.
OSG: What was the first thing you read on your phone when you got it?
Chichi: It was a question from the fans saying liar, and all sorts of things, so I was like wow.
OSG: You were one of the first housemates that are very close to Chomzy, you even helped her fight Eloswag in the house, and they end up helping them get together again. So tell us things that went wrong and you both barely speak to each other until her eviction?
Chichi: Chomzy was this close to me at that time so the energy I was giving was not what I was receiving so I needed to stay in a place I feel comfortable. So no hard feelings.
OSG: How did you feel about the work you won Head of House considering that it comes with supreme power that takes you to the final?
Chichi: I felt so happy and was like God must have loved me because I wanted to be in the final but I don’t know how it was going to happen.
OSG: After your tenure as the head of the house, you felt like you lost more than the weekly wagers, you lost some friends in the house, so can you just tell us how that week went by for you?
Chichi: I think the hardest week for me in the house was during my HOH and some other thing but I’ve leveled up.
OSG: What was it that made you fall in love with Deji?
Chichi: It was a mutual thing, it wasn’t one-sided and it was his personality as well for me.
OSG: So how did his eviction affect you in the house?
Chichi: It did affect me but I’m a strong and focused woman, I always tell myself the reason why I was in the house, how I wanted to be in the house and how I needed the platform to change my life.
OSG: Did you recover from the eviction?
Chichi: Yea! I recovered but sometimes I will just be like I needed to speak with someone and he was the one I do that with because he will tell me the right words and what to do, so I did miss him.
OSG: Did you find any other guy attractive in the house aside from Deji?
Chichi: No
OSG: What happened between you and Rachel to the point that you almost stopped talking to each other in the house?
Chichi: I don’t know what happened because I’m this type of person, if I don’t like something, I will tell.
OSG: The last week of the game seems to be a struggle for you having clashes with Rachel, you also got a tense moment around Phyna and other housemates in the house, So what changed?
Chichi: Being in the house is quite different from outside the house, you’re quite sensitive to a thing but the girl has leveled up, so at a point, I left all sorts of reacting even when you call me names, I don’t care anymore.
OSG: You changed the week you had a punishment from Biggie, how was the punishment like for you?
Chichi: That punishment is more than 10 strikes for the people that didn’t see it that way because at a point I was like they should have given me 2 strikes instead of that but God Big Brother gave me that punishment because it contributed to my growth.
OSG: We noticed your new-found friendship between yourself and Bryann, so how did that come about?
Chichi: I have seen and heard Bryann defending me in one or two ways, so I felt like this guy is one of the people that give people a chance without judging based on what they hear.
OSG: What should your fans expect from you now that you’re out of the house?
Chichi: Whatever you saw in the house was a drop of water in the ocean, now be ready to swim and my question is are you guys ready? Because there are so many things I will be going into and Big Brother’s house made me realize that there is nothing I can’t do.
OSG: Is there anything you will say you regret while in the house?
Chichi: Before my growth, I would have said Yes. But I think all those mistakes, the good, the bad,d and the ugly made me who I am today, so no regret.
