Adewale Mayowa Emmanuel, popularly known as Mayorkun has finally released his anticipated song, UP TO SOMETHING, and his female fans are excited about it especially because it’s about women.
A few days before the release of his new song, Mayorkun shared teasers on his social media page, while telling his fans that they are beautiful the way they are.
The teasers, which are snippets from the singer’s video of his song, showed women of different shapes and colours gathered together. According to him, he gathered 100 women, who were beautifully dressed in white, to reiterate his message.

Mayorkun also shared videos of Big Brother Naija winner, Mercy Eke and media personality, Bolanle Olukanni talking about body-shaming and how they were able to overcome it.
Following the release of the song in the early hours of this morning, fans are already commenting and hailing the singer for his initiative to uplift women.
In an age where the standard for beauty continues to become outrageous, UP TO SOMETHING is encouraging women to embrace themselves just the way they are.

From the woman with tribal marks, the plus sized, the one whose body underwent changes as a result of pregnancy and childbirth, an albino, a dwarf, the old woman to the young girl who uses a hijab, Mayorkun encourages all women to embrace themselves.
“…but you don’t really understand, that you’re beautiful just the way you are…,” Mayorkun emphasized.
