NIGERIAN MUSICIAN, LAMBOGINNY PERFORMS AT HM LEICESTER PRISON, UK.
Yinka Lawanson better known by his stage name “Lamboginny” is known to love performing his songs for prison inmates. He launched his debut album in October 2017, and he chose Nigeria’s Kirikiri Maximum Security Prison as the venue.
Lamboginny also held his first concert at Kirikiri, in Lagos, in 2009, performing before a large audience of prisoners. He was once invited to the UK last year and he performed at the prisons too, he holds three or four concerts in different prisons every year.
This year, some days ago, he visited HM prison Leicester UK and he had to perform in three different sections of the prison within 3hrs.
According to him, the inmates couldn’t be brought together for security reasons, and he was a little bit sacred when he went into the underground section of the prison where he also met two Nigerians.
In Lamboginny’s words ” I’m grateful to God for using me to give them hope again. God bless everyone that made this happen. #SALT #hope #music #prison”
