Turkey Bombs ISIL Strongholds In Syria
Following a deadly terror attack on the border town of Suruc in Turkey masterminded by ISIL, Turkey has attacked suspected ISIL strongholds in Syria.
Public opinion after the bombing was that the Turkish government had been lax on security and covertly encouraged ISIL militants.
Turkey’s Prime Minister, Ahmet Davutoglu disclosed that three locations were bombed today in an airstrike and stressed that as a country concerned with security, “Whoever targets Turkey… should not forget that Turkey is strong and powerful”
Suspected ISIL members were arrested in cities across Turkey yesterday as the government begins a crackdown on what it assures will not be a one-off operation.
