11 Die in Military Base Bombing

Just yesterday the 25th day of November 2012, two suicide bombers successfully detonated their devices at a chapel inside the Armed Forces Command and Staff College (AFCSC) Jaji, Kaduna, killing 11 and wounding many.

The Military Director of Information, AFCSC, Jaji, Lt-Col. Muhammed Dole reported that this despicable act occurred at exactly 12noon at St Andrew Military Protestant Church. He also said that the bombers struck after church services with the first car exploding inside the church premises, while the second bomb-laden car exploded outside with a lot of casualties. He stated in his words that ‘there were twin suicide bombings’ in and out of the church premises which happened in a pace of 15minutes inside the cantonment.

However, 11 persons have been reported dead while over 30 other persons are going through grave pains and under intensive care at hospitals both in Jaji and Kaduna.

It is the end of the year, citizens are implored to become very careful and vigilant of whatever is going on around them as many like this unspeakable act may strike again. May the gentle souls of those that were lost rest in perfect peace.
