One person was killed in a shoot-out as U.S police arrested Oregon militia leader Ammon Bundy.
Bundy’s militia occupied the Malheur National wildlife refuge earlier in the month in support of two local ranchers.
The armed anti-government protesters took over the National refuge after accusing the government of unfair treatment.
After calls for executive action to end the impasse, the FBI confirmed today that Ammon Bundy was arrested along side four other members of his militia.
One person was shot and killed during the arrest as a shoot out ensued between law enforcement agents and the militiamen.
The identity of the man who was shot and killed has not been revealed.
