Skiibbi Mayana, an up and coming artist signed to E-money’s “Five star records” alongside Kcee and Harry Song is in the news today for all the wrong reasons.
Earlier today, news made the rounds that the artist had slumped and died at home, prompting a rash of condolence messages even as his management did not confirm or deny the news reports.
The rumors gained more traction after a picture of the artist on the ground was said to be a picture of him “dead”. Barely three hours later, The 22 year old, whose single drops today, was said to be “recovering” and was soon hale and hearty enough to begin tweeting.
Many have dismissed the earlier news of his death as a cheap publicity stunt to gain traction to push his new single. In any event, his management’s tasteless approach to publicity has not gone down well with many people, with someone even writing a strongly worded open letter to the artist.
