A bridge collapse in India’s Kolkata region has led to the death of 10 people as dozens more are trapped under the rubble.

The overhead bridge was just under construction at a busy area in Eastern India as sources indicate that the likely cause of the collapsed was a lack of safety controls.

The company in charge of construction, IVRCL has said it is unsure of what caused the collapse of the 2km Vivekananda Road flyover
