Popular musician and activist, Ade Bantu, and his brother, Abiodun, alongside their
Afrobeat/Afropop band, Bantu performed at the 20th anniversary celebration of the
Cologne Manifesto ‘Get off your ass! Speak up!’ (Arsch Huh Zäng Ussenander) on
Friday, November 9, 2012.
They thrilled the 80,000 strong audience with some of their popular tunes, like “No More
No vernacular” and “African Border” at the open air concert which took place on the
banks of the River Rhein in Cologne, Germany.
Led by MTN Project Fame judge, Ade Bantu, the band gave the energetic and
passionate performance that has become their trademark. The event was streamed live
to millions of viewers on TV and Radio in Germany and worldwide.
You can catch them live on December 8 at the 50th Anniversary celebration of Goethe
Institut Nigeria at Freedom Park, Lagos. They will be performing alongside Yoruba
Soul artist Siji & Nigerian musical legends Fatai Rolling Dollar, Paulson Kaul & Orlando
Julius.
